Aurora focuses on project development of grid connected solar farms, energy efficiency interventions through energy monitoring devices and consulting services for CSP, PV and solar resource measurement.
Aurora is developing a number of sites for construction of CSP, PV and CPV technologies. Using an internationally tested methodology for a successful project we have identified potential solar farm sites and established exclusive development rights with land-owners. Precision solar radiation data measurements and detailed GIS mapping of ground water, rivers, roads and other infrastructure provide us with the tools to accurately cost the construction and determine the financial viability of the projects based on the published REFIT tariffs.
Along with site identification Aurora has investigated the legal requirements to qualify for the REFIT tariff for these farms, particularly with regards to the NERSA electricity generating license.
Aurora has close ties to technology providers in Germany, Spain and USA to provide basic design constraints, costs and lead-times.
Aurora is looking for opportunities for partnerships and investments to accelerate the development process and interested parties are asked to contact us (details can be found on the Contact tab).
PV-Diesel Hybrid projects are aimed at power consumers that are off-grid or capacity constrained by their utility. Our solution offsets the cost of transporting and consuming diesel (from a financial and environmental standpoint) by integrating PV panels with conventional diesel Generator sets.
A control system ensures that any available solar energy is used by the system whilst still maintaining the optimal operating conditions for the diesel generator.
