Socio-economic development

At Aurora Power Solutions, we believe that successful socio-economic development is critical to the success of any project. For all the projects we develop, the achievement of socio-economic development benefits is a key consideration. The benefits of solar PV projects typically include job creation, economic opportunities for local communities, and support for local initiatives on enterprise development and community upliftment.

Apart from the socio-economic development initiatives related to our PV projects, our team undertakes small-scale local community projects on an annual basis.

IFC Performance standards and Equator Principles

The project origination and development work by Aurora Power Solutions is compliant with the Equator Principles and IFC Performance Standards developed by the International Finance Corporation. We follow the strictest guidelines to assess, manage and minimize any environmental and social impact of our projects. Over and above the compliance with national legislation in each jurisdiction we operate in, we take IFC Performance Standards into account.

In line with the requirements of the Equator Principles and IFC Performance Standards, we have developed a Grievance Mechanism for anyone affected by one of our projects. Grievances, compliments or comments can be submitted via the Contact page and we can be contacted directly for more information.
